Systems Engineer

ZO COMPUTER COMPANY is seeking a Systems Engineer.

Personal computing is evolving. Everyone on the planet is going to have a personal cloud. Zo exists to make private cloud computing accessible to everyone.

## THE COMPANY

Our cofounders Rob and Ben met on the early Venmo team and have been friends for 13 years. Rob was the founding engineer both at Fin (a virtual assistant ahead of its time) and Substack. Ben had a long career at Stripe from 2015-2023. Our team is small, experienced, and nimble. 

We have a beautiful office in Brooklyn, and have a small but growing presence in San Francisco. We prefer in-person but are remote friendly for exceptional candidates.

## THE ROLE

Our goal is to stand up personal infrastructure for every individual on earth. This infrastructure is intended to be dynamically configured via AI agents, representing a unique set of systems problems. We need help from engineers who can design and operationalize these systems at the highest level. 

You should be proficient in Python, TypeScript, IaC, etc. and be an expert in distributed systems, storage/databases, networking, and containerization.

You should be self-driven and be able to lead the design and operationalization of these systems with no hand holding.
