Zo is actually the original OpenClaw. We launched in June 2025 and inspired Peter Steinberger. Zo provides a much simpler experience out of the box and is designed for everyone (not just hackers and tinkerers). Unlike OpenClaw or Hermes, Zo requires zero setup and comes with a fully-loaded server for your agent – no Mac Mini or VPS required. If you want to, you can run OpenClaw and Hermes inside your Zo, but the Zo agent comes with all the same capabilities and more.
